Deborah Hartwell is an accomplished costume designer and the creator of Pink Trunk Designs. As a young girl, she discovered a dusty steamer trunk hidden in the basement of her family home. She pulled it out from behind the support pillar and towards the middle of the room under the single hanging light. When she opened the trunk she discovered that it was filled with treasures from the "Roaring Twenties". Among the beautiful furs, evening gowns and accessories were exotic fabrics, trims and buttons that had been collected while on a trans-atlantic journey by the mysterious owner. A passion and spark for designing and creating were ignited as Deborah looked at the treasures and removed them one by one from the trunk...and the rest is history!
Deborah grabbed that spark and ran with it! She has been designing and creating for over 20 years for theater, ballet, dance, the film industry and private clients worldwide and loving every minute of it.
